Mostly liked it, but also disappointed TSW I was anxious to read this last book in the Beach House series, after reading and loving the first 3. And while it was good, I was disappointed in how it wrapped up. Although I liked the new characters that were introduced, I felt that Heather was able to overcome her anxiety issues just a little too easily and succinctly. The way hers was described from the beginning, it did not seem plausible that it could be turned around so quickly. Further, I was disappointed in the direction that Cara's character went, following her deeply tragic cir. Amazon Customer said Good but Disappointed!. I loved the three previous books in this series. This book was good and I enjoyed reading it however, there were several things that disappointed me. What happened to Toy and little Lovie? They're not even mentioned until the last couple of pages in the book. Another thing that bothered me, Cara has a hard life and I grew to love her. What happens to her in this book kinda made me mad. She finally finds happiness and then tradegy stikes and It's lost. I thought she had already had enough sadness in her life. Overall, It's a good book. It's. Another fabulous read by Mary Alice Monroe! Like many others, I have read everything Mary Alice has ever written. My first was The Beach House,and from there I was hooked! This book ends the series, but it is certainly a stand alone read as well For beach people, beach conservationists, bird enthusiasts, lovers of Charleston and the surrounding beach areas, it is so on point.
