It does have invaluable very detailed practical knowledge about singing, positioning of the voice, breath, and all you wish to know. It does explain some myths when it comes to principals of singing. This is NOT a Manual Garcia method of singing. This is NOT a deep positioning of the voice. The book has incredible insights into human languages and why some nations sing while others don't. The book has photos of Caruso's mouth while in singing mode. It also offers pictures of pos. J. A. Flores said Excellent book & excellent technique. I highly recommend this book and I also highly recommend the technique of SLS. If you read and agree with this book and you study and learn the SLS (speech level singing) technique by Seth Riggs, you will find that they are the same. I use to take lessons from a Bel Canto instructor with many degrees and he in essence advocated the "more air more space" mantra. This is indeed correct and works. It produces a beautiful tone and big voice but it was laborious and takes longer than I believe it should as it is. Thomas Torrington was my voice teacher for over 20 years. Mr Torrington's best friend and mentor was Ricardo Martin who sang at the Metropolitan Opera with Anrico Caruso.
