"Classic." according to Duncan. This book should be in every clarinetist's bookshelf. Like the big Klosé book, I do not feel that this book is appropriate for complete beginners, as it does not go into fingerings of notes and assumes that the student knows how to finger all notes beforehand. However, the exercises and etudes in the book are excellent in building the student up once they know the very basics. The theory in the beginning of the book is very good as well. I would suggest the student begin with a different method book made for beginners and slowly integrate Carl Baerman's method book al. Excellent skills builder One of the solo books I use after Rubank Intermediate. Finish Rhubank 1 and 2 first. "Great for Advancing Clarinet Students!" according to Veronica A.. C. Baerman's complete method for clarinets have improved my clarinet skills with the help of a music teacher, who gave me this book. This book has all you need to advance to the next level of music and I'm really serious, I'm a clarinet player, I know! It really helps you understand and improve your clarinet skills.
