A good, fun story. Stephen G. Walsh Fun book, a solid early effort from Michael Crighton (and his brother). Reading it in 2016 it was fun to revisit the ideas and language of the late 60's. Solid story, good guys and bad guys, and characters to root for. Moves along nicely, doesn't require a big investment of time, and provides an entertaining reading experience.. Gives you a great sense of the times and the drug culture of the sixties before everything went to really hard drugs. Some amazing characters and the events are wild and very believable. The stock characters are here: the hot chick, the somewhat baffled guy, the super-cool drug dealer, and the hard-as-nails corrupt narcbut they all seem more like someone you used to know than characters in a book.
