I Like the Book Very Direct and Succinct My father left me with about 100 chess books.It was a major pasttime for him, pawing through these books. I was not really that interested, but gave chess a shot now and then when I was younger. I was certainly no great talent, but Dad was very encouraging. He was an anesthesiologist, and studied his chess books while on call at the hospital and during surgery when the patients were asleep, and hooked up to machines that monitor everything. Evidently that period is very boring.Anyway, I've looked through some of Dad's books and found them too dry. Fischer's best 100 games, Spassky's top games, etc. They don't prov. "Great book to move forward quickly" according to srights. The most bang for your buck. You can't play chess if you can't get through the opening. There are so many books studying hundreds of different openings and the defenses. Impossible for anyone with a job and a life to memorize. This book will help you with a reliable opening and defenses needed against others. This book has helped me see what others are doing, even if I don't know the name of the opening they're using against me. Great book!. Porgy said It's A Good Move To Buy This Book..
