And it is very, very angry. It isn't human. Corrigan Bain is going insaneor is he? Because there's something in the future that doesn't want to be seen. His job is to prevent accidents - to see the future and "fix" things before people get hurt. But the ability to see into the future, however limited, isn't always so simple. Why so few reviews for this Gem? This is really an excellent book. It reminds me a lot of my reaction to reading Andy Weir's "The Martian" in these ways:1) Surprise at the quality and craftsmanship from an unknown (to me) author,2) As much enjoyment from "how" its written as from the plot/story,3) Author's outstanding integration of a very dry type of observational humor.I read a lot. You just can't predict where this story will take you and, for me, that's a treat in itself.I'll warn you, once it gets going . Not your usual time travel book William S. Morris Most time travel stories go into the past. The theory that Mr Doucette presents is one where the traveler can go into the future. When one hits a table one can predict with reasonable certainty that there is going to be a sound, the table may move, other things may happen. Now suppose that a time traveler decides to hit the table to get all of the consequences, but before the action moves into the present, he changes his mind. The present becomes different from what it was supposed to be. The time stream diverges, and the original path disappears being replaced by the new path. With this in mind, Mr Doucette presents a time travele
