First of all, there are over 100 pages to color, making this book a much better deal than many others. Second, the pictures are beautiful gray scale, which is why one reviewer complained that the drawings seem "washed out". The gray areas will guide your shading and make the pictures come to life when you work on them. Third, this book has incredible variety -- if you like flowers, leaves and fruit, there is plenty of that. If you are into fashion and like to color people, there are pages that will really satisfy. As a beginning adult "colorist", I have been pretty disappointed with most of the "adult" selections out there - I do not have any desire to color in nonsense swirls and repetitive patterns for hours. My preference is for "story-picture" clothing fashions, hair styles, and various environmental settings, and this will provide many selections to choose from!While the pictures are dark in many areas - wish they would have been a bit larger than the standard 8.5/11 page - having so many scenes from Christianity is absolutely wonderful!
