"Five Stars" according to No name. Super cool book! This artist as an amazingly unique I for a world we all overlook.. "Love the artist, the book itself is pretty good" according to O. Greene. I absolutely love this book. Or at least the scenes depicted within. Not only are the concepts often very clever and in some cases quite funny, but the execution is just brilliant with some really fine miniature work, painting, staging, etc. These must take a lot of patience to set up and photograph. The layout in the book is also nice, with the arrangement of close-up and further distance shots adding to the impact of each scene. The only reason I'm rating it a Love the artist, the book itself is pretty good O. The art itself being tiny, the photos rely on detail and clarity; while I think the reproduction is as top quality as could be achieved on this paper, the very nature of the paper means that some of that detail and clarity is almost undoubtedly lost. That said, it's a wonderful book for the price.
And if you’re lucky enough to find one, to quote The Times: "Oddly enough, even when you know they are just hand-painted figurines, you can't help but feel that their plights convey something of our own fears about being lost and vulnerable in a big, bad city." This volume also includes a forward from acclaimed novelist Will Self.. "They're Not Pets, Susan," says a stern father who has just shot a bumblebee, its wings sparkling in the evening sunlight. A lone office worker, less than an inch high, looks out over the river in his lunch break, "Dreaming of Packing it All In." A tiny man makes his way back to a tiny car, with a tiny shopping bag: "Shopping for one again." Another office worker sits atop a gigantic engagement ring and gaz
