The music itself is very challenging, but the note for note transcriptions was very helpful. I played a concert in New Orleans and was able to use the sheet music for Tico Tico, which I couldn't find anywhere else.. Mason Sapp said Good transcriptions. Lots of quality transcriptions and a good selection of songs.. "Find the music. Slow it down. Loop it. Practice it. Master it." according to Frank Beeckman. This book starts with the historical background of each of the great piano legends. It does not have a CD, or MIDI files, which is a shame at this price. To get the best use out of this book, one should be able to hear these songs. Having the ability to slow down a song would be helpful. I purchased a "Tascam CD-VT2 portable CD voice and music trainer", and a "Boogie Woogie 10 CD set". I will listen to the missing individual songs on youtube. All that's left for me to do now is to slow down the music, loop it, practice, practice, practice, and master it. I need the eartraining, you see. ;-)
