Simply put, no one book is the "best" because of the complexity of the subject. Watercolor is a wonderful and yet sometimes awfully difficult medium. Therefor the painter needs all the help he or she can get on the demonstration of the. This is a beautifully produced book This is a beautifully produced book. The instructions are clear and well designed. The color of the reproductions is really clear and vibrant. My only quibble with it is that it recommends using two paints/pigments that are not durable to light exposure: Alizarin Crimson and Aureolin.
