change of pace for me Jessss Jennifer Parker is in turmoil. Her father is a lawyer who has died inside since her mother left them for someone younger. She goes to school with hopes of joining her fathers practice and becomes a lawyer. However, fate steps in and takes her father from her. So, she heads off to New York with hopes of being something more. Right off the bat, Michael Moretti induces anger and hurt with Jennifer by ruining her career before it ever gets started. With new high enemies of the D.A. Di Silva and a . Clara Fox said Was a great book untill approximately the last third. What a great book! I loved it so much and could not put it down.The tragic event that happens towards the end was terible. The ending was terrible. Adam Parker has somewhat of closure to his life but he's still in love with Jennifer.There is no happy ending for Jennifer's life. Seems like she lost everything at this point. The book leaves to many open ends. Left me sad and with many, "what happened with??"Can't spoil which open ends without revealing to much.I believe the author left the book . RwS said Catchy Title, Disappointing Book. Given that this book was by Sidney Sheldon I was expecting the "WOW" factor. It did not distinguish itself with this description. The author appeared to have coasted on the wave of reputation with this book expecting the reader to fill in the gaps of believe-ability concerning the probability that the main characters could possibly have achieved their status' as a presidential candidate, a successful Mafia lawyer, a trusted Mafia hit man and an underworld don.
