I am a fan of Scottoline 's Rosato and Associates Monique Mcmillon Crime doesn't pay with this crew. This group will risk their life for the truth. It pays to have these women on one's team. I love the characters and their quirks. Every journey reveals more about these strong women. This time they defend a sociopathic slum lord. Who killed a homeless guy. Self defense? Guess again. Thanks for the thrilling ride Lisa.;). Needs a better editor. While I agree the book is fast JIC Needs a better editor. While I agree the book is fast paced and a quick read, there are some loose ends that do not get resolved. Spent too much of the book in far fetched scenerios that should have spent on writing the ending. It felt rushed. Also, the reference to the smell of acrylics and turpentine is incorrect. Acrylics are water based and do not use turp and a solvent, oil paints use turpentine a. Phil Tutino said A bit far fetched.. Most of the story takes place during a blizzard, but it doesn't keep the characters from staying outdoors for hours at a time.I've been in a few blizzards and no way would I be able to run through the snow let alone just be out in it. That made the story very unbelievable. Just snowing would have worked, but a blizzard. No Way.
