DESCRIPTION:
Melissa De Alba said Hilarious, but.. If you are looking for an actual craft book, this is not one. I thought this would have actual cute crafts to work on but it is really just funny commentary by Amy Sedaris and Paul Dinello. I'm a big fan of Amy Sedaris, so if you love her humor-which is not for everyone- you will love this book. It's packed with pictures and drawings which are awesome, and of course they are hilarious but if you're looking to do crafts, this doesn't offer much at all. For example, "Love Chimes" for your lover were a bunch of rusty nails strung together! I have the book in my living room and people lov. Love Amy, Book was OK mplsnme I love Amy Sedaris, I think she's talented and hilarious. I have her other book "I Like You", and I enjoyed that so much I ended up buying another copy for a friend. I've been looking forward to getting this book as well, and I finally have.I like the layout, and the photography, but like other reviews have said there isn't much in the way of actual crafting projects. I think the purpose of this book is more inspirational, look what I can do with stuff, what can you do? over a guide of craft projects. Amy is funny in her descriptions, and some of her craft ideas are pretty cute/hilari. "wish I hadn't" according to Misty Weare. I wish I'd understood that this book is definitely not a simple craft book but it a brand of humor I really don't appreciate.
According to Amy Sedaris, it's often been said that ugly people craft and attractive people have sex. America's most delightfully unconventional hostess and the best-selling author of I Like You delivers a new book that will forever change the world of crafting. In her new book, Simple Times, she sets the record straight. Demonstrating that crafting is one of life's more pleasurable and constructive leisure activities, Sedaris shows that anyone with a couple of hours to kill and access to pipe cleaners can join the elite society of crafters.
