DESCRIPTION:

Plus, it includes two punctuation songs; one for capitals, and one for spaces between the words. This set of songs were written to help children memorize the spellings of the first 29 high frequency words presented in the Open Court Language Arts Series. That way, if your child's attention span is only five minutes, he or she should be able to learn the concepts presented in 6-8 songs in just one sitting. The last two songs on the CD cover putting capitals at the beginning of a word and spaces in between words for improved writing skills. Words Covered Are: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, black, white, gray, pink, an, at, big, do, down, has, in, it, no/yes, not, small, this, too, up, we, what, who. These fun songs help children easily memorize the spellings of these important words in a natural way, just as easily as they memorize the words to any other nursery rhymes or songs! Focusing on the color words, this CD contains songs that all children enjoy and will sing over and over again. With repeated play, children should be able to learn ALL of the concepts in the songs quite quickly!. PLEASE NOTE: These songs are intentionally short to fit the attention span of the average 3-6 year old child! (Many songs are less than one minute long.) They are written to get straight to point, state it in a way that is simple enough for young children to remember, and then move on to the next lesson

Amazing difference! This is my second year teaching Kindergarten. The first year I had my students do spelling tests - without Heidi's tapes. It was difficult for them to remember how to spell the words. This year we are using the songs in Vol 1 & 2 and the difference is amazing! I highly recommend these CD's for teachers, parents, etc. Just fabulous and catchy tunes too!. I love this CD and Volume 1 Nancy Loy While I don't get to play it every day for my Kindergarten students, the songs are catchy and I find myself singing them to my husband and kids frequently!
