"good story" according to V. I would have given this book a 5 because I love unrequited love stories, but the hero was too much of an ass. Marcie put up way too much with his crap. After the way he treated her on their wedding night she should have dumped him. I don't know why she was so in love with him. He was mean to her from the start and he got worse during their marriage. What irritated me about Marcie was how desperate she was for Chase. She pursued him too much. I think it would have been nice if the author at some point made Chase pursue her. Even in the end I didn't feel like Chase loved Marcie the way he loved his dead wife. I kn.
