DESCRIPTION:
For Jillybean, moments of utter happiness and pure sanity are as fleeting and wonderful as sun-showers at a July picnic. Her time with Granny Annie is one such moment, but as always it ends far too quickly and she is once more thrust back into a world of crushing loneliness and endless despair. Setting out to find a family who will lover, she discovers an orphaned boy of her own age named Chris. Perhaps more frightening is the question of how many enemies she had left alive and how many more she had created? And how many hundreds of them are consumed with the desire to take revenge on her? When a terrifying weapon goes missing, the nightmare of revenge becomes a reality and Jillybean must throw herself into a quest to save the Estes Valley from utter destruction. There is just one problem: is the threat even real? Are there people actually roaming the valley at night killing in a terrifying manner? Or are all these enemies figments of her warped imagination? As the death toll mounts, the people of the Valley begin to ask: Is Jillybean the nightmare? Is she the one doing the killing? And if so, who has the wits to match her genius and stand against her?. How many fathers or mothers or loved ones has she struck down
You are such a good writer Kathleen Lindsay OK, so this book is as good as the 8 books before it. I'm so invested in the series that I have to read them, it's like a hunger. Never mind, that was bad. Anyway, I highly recommend this book as well as the books before it. As a matter of fact I think I'll read them again while I wait for 10! I don't think there is another series quite like the Undead World. It's not cookie cutter, it is one of a kind. Sure, you have zombies, heroes and villains, bad guys and good ones but none of the others have Jillybean, Sadie, Grey, Neil and so many more. Peter Meredith brings his characters to life and when I read his books I am there, . "One Of My Favorites In This Series!" according to LC. I love all of the characters, but Jillybean is what keeps me coming back. The up-and-down emotions this specific story managed to pull from me while I was reading this managed to surprise me. I had been somewhat annoyed with Neil and Gray since they cast Jillybean aside a few novels ago, but this story made me realize what I loved about their characters, and why Jillybean was always drawn back to them. I truly appreciate Mr. Meredith's ability to write a horrific scene, with the full emotional impact required, without being vulgar or too graphic. This novel was a real treat, and I can't wait to read what happens to our merry b. Awesome awesome triple awesome As always the book was wonderful. Kept me glued to the story. Decided to adopt Jillybean and Sadie. Maybe Neill as he needs to learn how to dress. This story was filled with twists and turns. Took me by surprise who the bad people were this time. The nerve gas was terrifying but I can imagine people sick in the head doing this. My only regret is waiting for the next book. Seems like an eternity. Peter your such an amazing writer and would love to know how you came up with this story.
