Great Story! AA Pearce I thoroughly enjoyed this fantasy read! The characters literally came alive on the page, both the good guys, as well as the villains. The main character Taro is especially well written and is the perfect blend of innocence and roughness that comes from living a hard life. This is a very realistic fantasy, so to speak, and none of the characters are all good, or all evil. They all have their reasons for doing what they do, and the reader can see the world from their perspective, though you’re unlikely to agree with their r. Being good can be hard K. M. Dorsey Taro just can't seem to catch a break. He's trying to feed his family, make his father proud and protect his little sister. However, his choices aren't always admirable and some of them have deadly consequences.. Amazing Amazon Customer A great book from young Master Haden! Very well put together. The book has a great magic system. Characters are very real and likable. Can't wait for book 2!
