DESCRIPTION:
And the truth about the past may end up being the most dangerous thing of all.. Kelsey has lived most of her life in a shadow of suspicion, raised to see danger everywhere. Now, to have a chance at a future, Kelsey will have to face her darkest fears. Her mother hasn't set foot outside their front door in 17 years, since she escaped from her kidnappers with nothing but her attacker's baby growing inside her - Kelsey. A few days later, she arrives home to find her mother missing. Because someone is coming for her. Kelsey knows she's supposed to keep a low profile and stay off the grid for their protection, but that plan is shattered when her dramatic car accident and rescue by volunteer firefighter and classmate Ryan Baker sparks media coverage
Good read This is the story of Kelsey, a teenager living with her mother inside a fortress. A few days after she's in an accident, her mother disappears. Kelsey is stuck inside her house, with a friend, while dangerous men try to get inside. It was a little anticlimactic towards the end, but overall a good beach read.. Questionable Story line. It was hard for me to read to the end. The boyfriend and girlfriend relationship between Kelsey and Ryan seemed to go zero to 100 unrealisticThe car scenario seemed very far fetched. Especially when she walked away with just marks on her hands.Plus I'm wondering how "the kidnappers" found Amanda from Kelsey's name in the paper and her mother's different identity?Just parts of this book seemed so unreal as to what could actually happen.. "The Safest Lies" according to Kindle Customer. This book was hard to put down. I wanted to know what was going to happen next. I have three of Megan Miranda's book and enjoyed them all.
