Great book for women in tech or who want to be in tech. Samantha S I'm a college student nearing graduation. I picked up this book due to my own anxiety about being a woman in a male-dominated field. I learned things I never would have thought about and enjoyed the personal stories along the way.I feel inspired by all of the stories shared in this book, and the advice is priceless. I highly recommend anyone in tech to read this book. There's even a bonus chapter for men at the end that I found informational. The writing style makes you feel as though you're talking to a mentor or friend, making it a quick read. When I finished I found myself a bit disappointed, I enjoyed it so much.. Buy a copy for everybody you know - get the word out! LOVED this book. As a male in the tech profession, I read the book with increasing horror at the inequities faced by women and realized that only by raising awareness of material such as this can we both empower women and educate men.The book combines stories from the trenches from many women, reader together expertly by the author who adds immediately useful advice for those who are entering the field, those who are in the field ( and possibly some words for some men who have no business being in the workplace)This is the enlightened age people -- let's try to live up to it!Buy yourself a copy, buy a copy for the women in tech that you know. I also liked that Tarah included a chapter on mentorship as I feel this is area most of us miss out on and might be holding us back. I also enjoyed the individual stories scattered throughout the book. Each of the stories were really different in terms of backgrounds and how they found their place--giving hope that there is no one right or wrong way make a living in the tech field and it can be done no matter who or what your skills might be.
