DESCRIPTION:
Taylor once again gives you a behind-the-scenes tour of his crazy life and the many beyond-the-grave events he’s encountered. Some are more credible than others, and, frankly, some are completely insane, but all are observed with appropriate seriousness as Taylor attempts to better understand some of the spooky things that have happened to him in his life, especially that night at the Cold House. But that’s not all, folks. In this book, Corey Taylor undertakes something never before attempted in the history of rock superstardom: he takes you with him as he journeys undercover through various ghostbusting groups who do their best to gather information and evidence about the existence of spirits. (You’ll be shocked how often Slipknot has been invaded by the supernatural.) Taylor also touches on his religious background and how it led him to believe in much more than the Man in the Sky.
Circular discussions, tangential digressions and lack of focus detract and irritate rather than provoke thought or introspection; the reader instead must concentrate on Taylor's ever-wavering train of thought in order to keep up. Taylor's enthusiasm for his topic and sheer wonder is infectious; he makes for a humble, charming host. Still, it's die hard ghost hunters and fans of Taylor's music that will likely get the most out of this. From Publishers Weekly Slipknot and Stone Sour vocalist Taylor's follow-up to Seven Deadly Sins reveals itself to be a well-meaning but often meandering collection of ghost stories and far-out philosophical and quasi-scientific ruminations on the existence of God and ghosts that never quite comes toge
Love the audio book I loved the audio book because it was as if you were listening to Corey tell you these stories in person. I'm a huge Corey Taylor fan and this book made me like him even more. This book is about many of Corey's experiences with spirits and hauntings. It also covers topics such as his take on religion/ atheisim and goes into a few stories about his childhood. The last chapter was a bit mind blowing and I love that it really made me think.I can't wait for . So entertaining!! AT I'm a HUUGGGEEE slipknot and stone sour fan so naturally I love corey Taylor. I read his first book seven deadly sins and was unsure of the book. I agree with him on the topic but it was a little difficult to Follow. But this book is very different. It is so awesome and just fun to read and gives you a little different side to how and why in his mind ghosts or "spirits" are existing to him with him not believing in god. He tells some HILARIOUS stories an. Kind of fun This, like his last book, is written in a stream of consciousness writing style. It can be difficult to read if you are not into that kind of rambling writing style. I like that kind of writing style so I could easily over look that little issue.I'll also admit I did skim through a couple sections. I was in this for the ghost stories and stories about hauntings. I could see the issues with trying to balance the ghost thing with the atheism thing which fo
