It gave me more background on places and some good suggestions for things to visit outside the tourist spots (although it has info on plenty of those too).. A Great Book for New Yorkers and Tourists Alike! I've lived in New York for five years and this was a page turner because it completely opened up my eyes to the things around me that I never noticed. The author has a great style and the descriptions in the book are perfect for someone looking to get an in depth look at places and landmarks that they never new existed. Highly recommended!
