Cursive not calligraphy Fayesee Not really calligraphy. I got these to teach calligraphy to a small group of girls ages 8-11 for a small private school where I teach art. I'm sure the owner is going to want me to return them unless she decides to use for cursive practice. When I think of calligraphy, I think of the letters that the words "Hand Lettering" on the cover look like. The practice is nothing like that at all. See the picture of one letter example "k". Very disappointed. These books might be worth $3.99 but nothing more.. "Not really calligraphy at all" according to R. S. Herron. The lettering on the cover is the only calligraphy in the book. The rest is no more than practice areas for drawing circles and shapes and cursive-type writing. This would be great for someone wanting to improve their cursive penmanship, but by beginner, I think this book means someone who isn't comfortable with cursive writing. I returned it immediately upon receipt.. Excellent Excellent for anyone, very specific, clear, easy to use, good detail & great practices
