I bought this book when I was introduced to these ideas through a video documentary on earthships by mike reynolds that I checked out from the library called “Garbage Warrior.” I love many of the ideas of earthships, including using waste tires for something constructive, building my own house, having food-growing considerations included, heating/cooling using solar and earth, and water-catching and purifying all built into the structure. Now I’m more interested in straw bale because it seem. Great series, must get all of them in the series Must get this along with the other volumes. Will not make sense without them. Great information on building your own house with tires, but even if your not using tires, maybe you are using cordwood or any other traditional building method, there is info on graywater systems, and utilizing your environment to provide all that you need to live and thrive..
