Another amazing read Karri Compton No author has dazzled me with every single book he has written except for Steven James. He just doesn't write average stories. I love the Patrick Bowers series and this is a great addition. Of course, I would love to see him move into the future with Pat instead of the past, but that's okay. I can deal with learning more about how Pat became who he is. I highly recommend this novel, and suggest that those not familiar with his work read all the Bowers novels . Gale Turner said Great book. I have waited quite a long time for another book by Mr. James and I think the wait was worth it. It took me a chapter or two to orient myself in this book but when I did I could see Bowers, Christie, Ralph, Tessa, and the other characters. As always his books go into detail to explain what he is thinking or how he is coming to a conclusion. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next, I hope it doesn't take too long.. patty potter said If you like Clancy, Grisham and Patterson, you will love this!. I am a huge Steven James/Patrick Bowers fan and was not disappointed in his latest! It goes back before The Pawn and I had a hard time putting it down. Steven's books are so carefully thought out and there is so much going on in them. I love that the same characters are followed through in his series, and how they develop, and how the relationships develop. This one is set in Detroit and it is obviously well researched. Love this series!
