DESCRIPTION:

Surviving 60,000 years takes cunning and more than a little luck. At the center of the book is Adam. His survival has hinged on an innate ability to adapt, his wits, and a fairly large dollop of luck. He doesn't age or get sick, but is otherwise entirely capable of being killed. In an artful blending of sci-fi, adventure, fantasy, and humor, Immortal introduces us to a world with vampires, demons and other magical creatures, yet a world without actual magic. He makes an excellent guide through history, when he's sober.. Adam is a 60,000 year old man. Immortal is a first person confessional penned by a man who is immortal, but not invincible. But in the 21st century, Adam confronts new dangers - someone has found out what he is, a demon is after him, and he has run out of places to hide. Worst of all, he has had entirely too much to drink

Time passes one man by Força Porto! This well-written, genre-bending novel combines science fiction with the paranormal, snarky humor with suspense and adventure. Its premise is that the protagonist, an otherwise normal man, was born sometime well before the dawn of history , and by simply avoiding being killed has avoided dying ever since. Normal aging beyond the age of about 35, and things such as infection and disease cannot touch him, but violence can-- and judging by this story, he's not at all good at avoiding it.He likes alcohol, too much for his own good. New Favorite I love this book and the direction it follows. One minute your in modern times and in the next Adam is walking down memory lane with some funny or a scary story of disastrous outcomes as he barely makes it out alive like the fire in the liquor house during prohibitionthat was caused by a molotov cocktail, thrown by the same guys shooting up folks running from the club. Unbelievable and WOW all at the same time!!I am new to Mr. Doucette's genre, and I am here to stay. He is now one of my favorite and I have every intention to f. Lena said enjoyed this book a lot. I stumbled across this book quite by accidentI accidentally looked inside and proceeded to read the sample first few paragraphs and was intrigued by what I read. It's a bit different than any other story I have ever read, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's kind of funny how he views the world, especially for the first part of the bookhe likes his drink and lives like he hasn't a care in the world until something happens worth sobering up a bit for. He's actually a but more intelligent a character than he lets on in the beginni
