They're both going to Laura's parents house to visit with them for the weekend. It's supposed to be a nice relaxing weekend, but when Chyna hears an intruder in the night, plans soon turn array. Chyna quickly turns into survival mode when she suspects an intruder. Having been sheparded around most of her young life with a neglectful mother and her mother's abusive boyfriends, Chyna knows how to run and hide to survive. Her instincts tell her when. Too harsh One of the things I usually love about Koontz is that he tells a story with such profound spiritual depth. I've read many of his books. But this one tipped over the edge for me. It was too harsh, too cruel. With little of his spiritual depth included.. jim howard said Prepare to abandon all else.
