Yes, Those books were translated into Chinese and James Herriot was quite popular among book lovers there. I came to the United States in 1987 and since then, I bought and re-read all his books in English. I discovered so many aspects of his writing could not be precisely translated into another language, nevertheless his love and affection for all living. I don't need to write about how wonderful these stories are as well as the supurb illustrations, other reviews have said plenty. However, in case you wonder what the characters sound like in James Herriot's world, there is an audiobook available. Narrated by talented Jim Dale and published by Macmillan Young Listner in July 2008, the audio CD wasn't linked to this book by Amazon. Just type "Books / Jim Dale" and you will find it.
