DESCRIPTION:

"Great plates of the work and wonderful interviews" according to Rex Westen. Great plates of the work and wonderful interviews. A very rich and well curated book of a complex painter. I would love to be in a room filled with the original paintings, but this book is some solace. From my research this is the best book on Basquiat's work. His paintings are amazing - you will not regret owning this.. customer said Balanced portrait. Excellent photos of artist's work and lots of them. Written by people who knew his genius and warts. Photos and discussion of process. The man made art from thin air. I could not put the book down. Now that I have read it and reread parts, I am still attached and have it close at hand.. Wonderful cjh Wonderful book. The best available, I believe.
