The best of them were not up to the standards of AvidReader The writing in some of the stories seemed rushed and was definitely poorly edited for this level of publication. The best of them were not up to the standards of the writers normal work. Some of the stories were simply not meant for the short story format. The typos did not bother me as much as the logic errors and unexplained contradictions.. Jude Mattsson said all of the Jack Reacher books and was not disappointed that the 'Matchup' short stories that Lee Child comments. I have read all of the Jack Reacher books and was not disappointed that the 'Matchup' short stories that Lee Child comments on at the beginning of each story were great explanations on how each author came to work together.. Mickey said Wonderful. These were great short stories by great match ups. Besides the wonderful stories, they introduced me to a huge group of mystery writers that I wasn't aware.
