Pellucidar is a sequel to "At the Earth's Core", so if you don't read that first, it will may be harder to appreciate Pellucidar. As one who did read the first book, I can only imagine that if I had not, I would have enjoyed Pellucidar a bit less. In any case, they are both easy, f. "Not a step did we take in advance but the grim reaper strode silently in our tracks It is one of the peculiarities of life within Pellucidar that man is more often the hunted than the hunter." Classic science fiction from a master that I'm finding to be practically timeless making it a fine pick up and I do recommend!
