DESCRIPTION:
Fun and easy arrangements, terrible binding Andrew Whitaker First thing you should know about this (if you haven't gotten it from the other reviews) is that you need to rebind the book immediately after you purchase it. This can be done for less than $5 at your local FedEx/Staples/UPS store. Since I'd read the reviews I anticipated this and therefore was not surprised by the terrible binding. Just take the time and get it rebound.I'm a very beginning piano player (been playing for about 8 months) and the arrangements are simple, b. "A Good First Piano Book of Popular Tunes Worth Banging the Keys to!" according to bmbranno. I bought both this version to the Rolling Stone's Piano classics and the second volume as well. Honestly, I bought it based on the variety of songs offered and was captivated by "Hotel California" and "Wish You Were Here". I'm an Eagles and a Floyd fanatic so I jumped on it when I read the many positive reviews about how easy it was for beginners to play the piano using this book. I'm not disappointed either. Again, I encountered the same problem with the binding on this . Favorite This is one of my all-time favorite piano books!!! The song selections are awesome and the arrangements are well done. Some of the songs are fairly easy to learn while others are a little more challenging which is a great combination. If you enjoy any of the rock and roll classics from the 50s-60s, this book is for you. I have so much fun learning and playing these songs! Would definitely recommend!
In preparing this songbook, Alfred Music took great care to revisit those recordings, replacing incorrect arrangements with new ones that allow pianists and singers to perform the songs in the style that landed them on the Rolling Stone 500.
