"It'sOK" according to themrsean. Bass tab books are rare. There's often just not enough complexity to warrant the time, effort and money by a publishing company to put them out. Of course, with Rush, it's a different story, and I was happily surprised to see a full album transcription of the new album coming out. I'm a devoted Rush fan who has transcribed nearly all of their material for bass, with varying degrees of success, so I knew I would be both grateful for the effort that went into this and very critical of the product itself.The tablature itself is a decent effort. For the most part, the bulk of the songs are correct, t. Great, but no flamenco parts are tabbed James Luther Most of the tabs are spot on, but they do not tab the "Geddy-Flamenco" parts of the bass lines (a la "Caravan," "BU2B," etc.). Specifically, what they recommend you play during the flamenco part of "BU2B" is just plain wrong and sounds hilarious and horrible all at once. Use parts of these tabs as a guide and then fill in the gaps by listening to what is actually happening on the album.. This will get you 50% of the way to playing like Geddy Stephen Stetler It's a great way to start learning Rush bass parts, but do not take it too literally because there are mistakes. Use this to get you comfortable with the bass line, but then really just listen to the songs with a decent headphone set. You'll instantly spot the errors in the tab. So like I said, it'll get you started.
