This year, I took a flyer on this new collection from the editor of Clarkesworld. This is the best sf anthology I've read in years. I have a large collection of all the Nebula Awards, Year's Best Scinece Fiction, etc anthologies, but this beats them all. I get frustrated when fantasy stories are being passed as science fiction, but it does not happen in this book. Diverse variety of styles, all exc. Strong, Sad Allen H. I have to admit that although these many stories described what I expect to happen in the near future, I wish there had been more with less depressingly hopeless premises and outcomes.
