This book does include some and they are very well explained. But, there is a little more History than I was looking for. It is a great book if you are studying the beginnings of why, where and how the Celtic designs were used and by whom. But, if you are looking for a straightforward pattern book for projects and / or Art, don't buy this.. "fantastic" according to john. If you need any Celtic design, or maybe even some inspiration, tips, ways to move your pen, geometry of the knots, this is the book. Great pictures with better explanations. If you are the fence about buying it I hope this review entices you. I reference all the time especially when I need to construct a parallel argument with different art from that era.
