There is wisdom in the Nordic countries This is one of the most enlightening books I've ever read and shockingly accurate on what social issues American's face today such as high inequality, low social mobility an outdated education and an inefficient healthcare system. We could use some Janteloven in America especially on our politicians In order for America to flourish again we need to bring back Franklin Delano's vision for America. His second bill of rights!. say that I think there are a lot of great ideas here Abram Cardoza I read this book in about a week and let me just say that I think there are a lot of great ideas here. I don't think Ms. Partanen is laying out a blueprint here of how to change the American system, rather highlighting how other countries have "done it". Offering insights, advice, and solutions, The Nordic Theory of Everything makes a convincing argument that we can rebuild our society, rekindle our optimism, and restore true freedom to our relationships and lives.. A Finnish journalist, now a naturalized American citizen, asks Americans to draw on elements of the Nordic way of life to nurture a fairer, happier, more secure, and less stressful society for themselves and their children.Moving to America in 2008, Finnish journalist Anu Partanen quickly went from confident, successful professional to wary, self-doubting mess. At first, she attributed her crippling anxiety to the difficulty of adapting to a freewheeling new culture.
