DESCRIPTION:

Gripping true story, rarely matched adventures, well-written, inspiring Rob Natiuk MUCH ON THE PLUS SIDE. This book more than lives up to its title – “A true story of summits, space, and speed.” The personal and team adventures, inner and outer, of astronaut Scott Parazynski go beyond just space travel. We go to the top of the world twice, for Scott also takes us along on his two Mt. Everest climbs, harrowing and wondrous. He did his successful climb in his older years. How he relates the challenges with his earl. Great book cursed with poor design. Scott Parazynski has some very interesting stories to tell. Like many astronauts, he tells them in a way that skips the flowery language and poetic metaphors. That's not a bad thing. How he sought adventure as a youth, moved frequently as a child, and got a medical degree that was a great asset in the astronaut program. How all these things ended up leading him into his life's journey.Really enjoyed his stories about space travel, hiking, rock climbing, Mt Everest, and finally to Antarctica.

Scott and his wife, Meena Wadhwa, a renowned planetary scientist, divide their time between Houston, Texas, and Phoenix, Arizona. Scott Parazynski was inducted into the Astronaut Hall of Fame in 2016, and is the recipient of many prestigious awards, including five NASA Space Flight Medals, two NASA Distinguished Service Medals, two NASA Exceptional Service Medals, the Aviation Week Laureate Award, the Antarctica Service Medal, the National Eagle Scou
