Dan said The Best Guide to Music Production Available. Zen and the Art of Producing is probably the best book I've ever come across on the topic of music production (I've read quite a few). With his witty, signature style more matured than ever, Mixerman takes the reader on a journey through the process of producing a record, complete with all of the "under-the-hood" thought processes and potential trap. I love this author. Insightful and relevant. I love this author. Insightful and relevant.. Great book! This great book looks at producing music from all angles reasonably possible, both separately and in complex, including theory, techniques, psychology, economics and whatever else I can think of. Lots of useful info and advice. Very well written and structured. Great humor. I like it very much.

Whether you're currently positioned as musician, engineer, songwriter, DJ, studio owner, or just avid music fan, Mixerman delivers a seemingly one-on-one, personal lesson on effective producing..
