"Harry Potter Meets Harlequin Romance" according to harper91. This is a basically a vampire romance novel and I can't understand why it was a bestseller. On the plus side, there's a lot of creativity and detail in the world this author imagines, populated by witches, vampires, and daemons living alongside humans. On the other hand, I found the main characters really irritating. The heroine spends much of the book falling apart and needing to be rescued and taken care of, and the hero is controlling and over-protective to a degree that would disturb any couples therapist. In the first part of the book, the author finds it ne. Three Stars What a crappy slow book. Nothing actually happens and it's stuffed with boring filler. It's basically Twilight for librarians.. "Fantasy or reality" according to kathryn t.. I have never really been interested in these types of stories, I bought this book on a whim. I am so very glad I did. It is outstanding I could not put it down and read from cover to cover in about 12 hours. It is magnificent in its mystery, intrigue and romance. It will one of the best books anyone will ever but and read. It is now one of mine.
