Canon Speedlite System PatM Did a Great job on the information Blended it Nicely Together making the Book work. Good Photos included in discription Which makes for a very useful and practical guide.why then not 5 stars? Most of the information can be found at the Canon Learning Page or in the Manual. Canon suggest to make a larger copy of the information THEREBY more readable Gee thanks Canon. Stated in there manual. so this takes time printer ink Paper Money etc sooo You save the MONEY and Time to do this. But Thanks to J Dennis Thomas who took the . "Poorly written" according to Utah Pete. The author may be a good photographer and he may know his equipment (although I found some technical errors), BUT he is a lousy writer.He tends to use mostly passive voice and convoluted, sometimes ambiguous or self-contradictory sentence structure, which makes reading this book a real chore. He also can't decide what level of photographer is going to be reading his book, coming across as condescending or patronizing at times.Consider this single-sentence paragraph under the heading 580EX accessories;"Along with the SS-800. CANON SPEEDLITE SYSTEM FIRST OF ALL THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH AMAZON. THEY ARE AMAZING. WITH RESPECT TO THE BOOK. I BOUGHT THE CANON 600EX-RT. THERE WAS A LOT OF INFORMATION IN THIS BOOK THAT HELPED ME WHAT I DID NOT REALIZE WAS THAT WHEN I BOUGHT MY 600EX-RT, I DID NOT GIVE ENOUGH OF TIME FOR THE PUBLISHERS TO COME OUT WITH A BOOK ON THE 600EX-RT.
