The play along CD is great. For each song Stephyn G. W. Butcher The play along CD is great. For each song, there is a demo track and a play along track. However, it is just sheet music and a CD and there are only eight songs. I question the inclusion of The Red Haired Boy when there are so many good Irish jigs and reels that obviously had to be excluded and Vol 1. was already bluegrass.. Play along in style Laura D. Hal Leonard publishing put out three mandolin instructional books, all of which are excellent. The first is on bluegrass tunes, the second is on Celtic music, and the third is on classical music, Bach. Each offers an rendition of the tune along with tablature for learning. There is a full recording with mandolin, and a second without. You provide the mandolin part. A great way to learn!
