We have retired from the classroom and received four acres of meadow in Texas. What a great time to design and build a perfect home that fits us, the land, the environment, and our lives. We also didn't have a clue where to start or how completely our concepts needed to be before we could break ground. This book has led us step by step through the process of design. As we have drawn and discarded, marked it out on the ground and pulle. "Wealth of useful information" according to Braidweaver. The first part of this book explains the process of home design and building, with lots of great advice for finding and working with an architect and a builder.
