Very well laid out and lots of information! I purchased this book for my daughter who loves architecture. Our family loves DK books and this one is one of our new favorites. The descriptions are well written and provide a great history on each of the buildings. Each section has a detailed description of the building, a large picture of the exterior of the building, and then a great section on the interior of the building complete with descriptions of statues, arches, etc. If you ar. I could spend hours and hours with this volume. which finally puts an historic line underneath these magnificent structures that span the breadth of man's inventiveness. The photos are wonderful, the art is most instructive and the text is supportive enough to make me feel that I really know something significant about each building.
