Jill Meyer said An excellent biography. I bought this book after seeing the movie, "I Saw the Light", with Tom Hiddleston as Hank Williams. (The movie has received mixed reviews, but I thought it was quite good.) Colin Escott's biography of Williams - formerly titled "Hank Williams: The Biography" - is one of the best biographies I've read. I have come to appreciate the great Hank Williams, Sr. relatively recently. I am a devotee of the Sun Records group and, most of all, Buddy Holly. As I got to know Hank through his songs and the movie "I Saw the Light", I wanted more insight into the man - his heart, his soul.
