Wonderful Tribute This book by Sofia Coppola was a delightful surprise. Some reviews were negative - but I was not disappointed. The photos from the film are lovely and the text is quite interesting. I've wanted this book for a while now, but the negative reviews have kept me from buying it. I finnaly went for it when I saw a used one in like new condition for about ten bucks. That's about what this book is worth. It's just really low quality for the price. The pictures are small and blurry, and most of the book is just exceprts from the script.. "Great photographs, intense script." according to Tyler. Keeping in line with the previous books pertaining to Sofia Coppola films, I have to say the book for Marie Antoinette is now my favorite. It's perfectly in line with the tone and style of the film, and the pictures are really wonderful. There are probably more that could've gone in to the book (the publicity campaign for this film delivered thousands and thousands), but the knowledge that these photos were the ones expressly chosen by Sofia as accessories to her script (the core of this book) give it a very intimate, coffee table by way of scrapbook feel.
