Disappointed The cover on the book was not a project in the book to do. I bought the book thinking more of this type of drawing was in the book. I was disappointed that it wasn't. I also thought they might go into oil pastel which they did not. Gave book away.. Painting with Pastels Ponderosapaula Good beginner book for working with pastels. Step up from just pencil drawings.The book gives some very useful information.. "PASTELS FOR THE BEGGINNER OR AN ARTIST JUST SPRUCING UP ON THE SUBJECT" according to another painter. Though it is a little dated it has some great advice on how todo pastels and use them to create every kind of genre in painting.From which tools you will need to how to sue them is included.THe visual samples are wonderful and the text is direct and enjoyable to read.Pleased
