Other reviewers have complained about the system used to show guitar chords, and I agree that it can be a little confusing. However, the more-traditional method of displaying chords in a line above each line of lyrics would have taken up far more room. The result would be a book too thick to be usable, or a book with far fewer songs. If you know the tune, it only takes a little bit of trial and error to get the chords right. As note. Only words and chords which was very disappointing since there are many melodies I don't know. I went back to the product description and I guess I should have figured that out before I ordered the book since it says "(Vocal). Words, chords and sources to 1200 songs". "Great Book for Singing" according to Knittingloie. I love this book! I had one many years ago and lost it. Recently, I've been playing piano, mostly by ear and was missing my old book. I was very happy to be able to buy it here. My only complaint is it took much longer (weeks) than most Amazon items do to get to me. I also have the sequel book called Rise Again and I like that too. The spiral binding makes it very easy to read at a piano or keyboard and the relatively small size makes it convenient for taking to a group sing of any type It's
