Important read for investors or home makeovers Very informational read. It's a very dry and to the point book so don't go into it expecting it to excite you so much you can't put it down. I would recommend this for anyone who has an interest in real estate investing, this is relevant for any type of single or multifamily units.. "This book is by far the best one. It is clear" according to B. B. Liu. I was raised in NYC, where we didn't even have a backyard growing up, and I have absolutely no background in construction. In the interest of being able to supervise contractors for an extensive renovation, I read a few rehab books. This book is by far the best one. It is clear, concise, extremely organized, and effectively gives you a framework for how to break down the daunting task of renovating a full house, into individual, discrete tasks. I feel 100% more informed than I was prior to reading this book. I recommend it without reservation.. "Well written and very informative!" according to Alyssa. My wife and I are getting into flipping houses and we wanted to read all we could. This book was great. It was written in a way that was easy to understand and helped understand the cost of work and materials. J. Scott is great and I've got all his books. They are informative and easy to understand. I've learned a lot and would make sure to read this before getting into house flipping!
