If you are able to handle such a raw, shockingly honest story, then this book will be a poetic unforgettable experience!. A Great Autobiography John W. Matney This book was so much more than I expected and I had expected an excellent book. I'm pretty familiar with Tommy's climbing history, the kidnapping and the Dawn Wall epic. Still, Tommy went so much deeper than many sports autobiographies. This book ranks in my top 10 biographies of all time. I knew Tommy Caldwell had a life made for a book like this. How could you tell that life story and not fascinate? But Caldwell digs deep, far beyond what was necessary to write an entertaining book. Reflections on life, death, faith, risk, beauty, love are rarely smarmy, and often revelatory--for the author as well as the reader. This is not only the best climbing book I've read, but also one of the best memoirs.
