DESCRIPTION:
Amazon Customer ET said CRIMINAL MIND-SET. There is no other way to explain Joe O'Reilly's criminal behavior. Women are often in a state of deniala pattern of "this can't be happening" that they are frozen and unable to react once their spouse has fallen into hate.. Dull as dishwater. William S. Carroll I suppose the U.K. has a dearth of interesting murder cases. That the author got an entire book out of what would be a two day local news stories in the U.S is amazing. This book has no "hook" at all. The parties involved are unattractive and dull (Google the photos). A run of the mill spousal murder. Tragic for the families involved, but a crashing bore for the reader.. Decent read David As a person who doesn't read often, I can say this book did not draw me into it. I went a few lengthy periods without reading it. Nothing made me want to resume reading it except boredom. For .99 though it's not bad. However it did read easily.

On a clear autumn morning in 2004, Rachel O'Reilly, a 30-year-old mother of two, was brutally battered to death in her home. In the days that followed the discovery of her body, it was thought that Rachel was the victim of a bungled robbery attempt. It was a crime that captured the imagination of the public, who watched as the illusion of the idyllic suburban life the couple shared together began to shatter.. The 32-year-old advertising executive vehemently denied any involvement. The spotlight immediately fell upon Rachel's husband, Joe O'Reilly, who admitted in a number of extraordinary press interviews that he was a prime suspect in his wife's slaying. It was a merciless killing that stunned the small, trusting community where she lived, and devastated her close-knit family
