Right up there with Earl's Book Sawgrass Janet Davis has put together a winner with this song book! Many popular standards are covered with many ways to play them. I have played a few years exclusively in the Scruggs style with the 3 finger roll patterns but this book has opened some new options for me. I appreciate the songs rendered in the chromatic . "Excellent Banjo Songbook" according to MountainGarden. This is an excellent compilation of banjo solos. I like the different versions Janet Davis presents of each song that can be eventually connected (when I learn them all). T. and these songs are not easy for me C. Holdaway I am more of a beginner level player, and these songs are not easy for me, but I have really enjoyed them. The CD is helpful and learning to play these songs has helped me become a better player. I would definitely recommend.
